A very small Dutch sampler made by AMF Stroomberg in 1896.
This kind of small red samplers were made in the Diaconie Orphanage in Amsterdam between the late 18th and the late 19th century. Nevertheless, they are rather rare.
Finely and completely reversibly worked with cotton on a fine linen ground. Tiny cross-and eyelet stitches
In a very good condition. Good color.
Size: 22 x 22 cm or about 9 inch square incl. the frame. Framed between conservation glass.
