A very pretty Dutch, possibly city of Enkhuizen darning sampler made by CS in 1807
Colorful and shiny silk on cotton.
The girl worked no less than sixteen different darns, four needlwork darns, four squares of pattern darning and a elaborate inside border in pattern darning.
Typical of Enkhuizen are the four needle lace insertions placed in the middle.
In a very good condition.
Size: 42 x 45 cm, not framed.
