An interesting (possibly North-) German sampler made by SG (?) in 1785. Worked completely reversible with silk on linen.
The sampler has the very unusual pattern of the image of Death carrying scythe and hour-glass, which is contrasting the Annunciation scene on the left.
Size: 49 x 46 cm. Not framed In a good to very good condition; some fading of the pink/purple.
